Hallo there!

I am done my Fine Arts and Art History degree, and I'll be heading back to Uni next semester for an Art History Masters. Lots of art.

I have not neglected my art though. Actually, I feel as though I am slowly crescendoing to a renaissance of artwork (I hope). I've had a full, round year now to gradually cleanse myself of what is worth discarding of my Fine Arts degree at Concordia... and, I think there's quite a bit that's worth discarding in my case. There was no way I could have known it at the time, but the environment of Concordia wasn't conducive towards the type of art I'd like to do. I've talked to a few people from the program that have echoed what I've said: if you want to do something with a graphic arts style within a Fine Arts context, there is a lot of room and opportunity. I don't think Canadian universities have quite caught on to this yet, unless someone can tell me differently (and I'd love to hear).

So, after a long year, I've begun to sweep away some of the guilt involved with doing something like Fine Arts, and with bringing a graphic arts style to it. We'll see what happens.

Hello everybody! Welcome to my page

I'm a 3rd year student at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Major, Studio Arts, Minor, Art History.

During my stay at Concordia, I've gotten the chances to work on improving my studio practice and to try to improve my artwork. I'm in the process of updating this page with what I've been doing for the past 2 years.

The past few months have been pretty cool. I've gotten to be a part of a few shows and I've enjoyed the opportunity to work with a new sort of deadline (I've done illustration work in the past, work for class, and work for students shows as well).
I've recently shown my work at Shanghai Restaurant in Ottawa and at The Comic Book Shoppe's Fine Arts Gala in Ottawa. I'm also a recent member of Ottawa's La Petite Mort Gallery and will have work available there in the front of the gallery, and hope to participate in a few shows there in the near future

For now, I have to get back to assignments, school work, and making myself some goddamn food!

Hey big wide world of DA,

I have been neglecting you sorely. And for that, I apologize greatly. You are my first love, my very first love, and you (and Greg and Photoshop) have much too much to do with me studying Studio Arts right now.

I'm doing very well, and I hope you're doing well too.

I have a MySpace page which I'm extremely excited about. I've made it look very attractive, and I've also discovered that multitudes of amazing, professional artists that I've both heard of before, have never heard of before, and admire greatly, have pages on MySpace already.

I also have a weekly that I've started posting on a music blog of a friend of mine, named Joel. The blog is called Evil-Home-Stereo, and my weekly is called 'Krunce's Amazing Online Art Gallery List'. I've recently discovered that I'm an Online Art Gallery whore, and have enough galleries in my Favourites list to be able to publish this weekly for 2 years, right now. And by the end of the month, I'll probably have doubled that list again. Weird...

DeviantArt, I do have good news. I've been making some artwork, and I think I like it. It's still not quite where I should be right now, but I can tell that this is just the calm before the storm (the storm- hopefully happening next semester, wish me luck). And I'm hoping to take photos of this art soon, and post it up here.

So DeviantArt, don't shun me. I'm a busy girl. And I know you've been busy too.
